Another update. Woo!

So, a lot of things have been happening in the past few weeks. I can't really begin to tell you the roller-coaster it's been. I want to let everyone know that I still plan to continue working on the album throughout the spring, however there won't be any upcoming tours this summer as originally anticipated. I just have too much going on in my life right now to book up a summer tour. I want to stay as active as possible through it all though, so don't think I'm straying away. Keep checking the tour dates up on the MySpace page to see where and when I'll be playing. I've got a few dates in NC, NY, and GA right now, with hopefully more on the way. Thanks guys!

Update from the studio...

...more or less. I'm currently tinkering with new sounds and ideas for my sophomore effort, which will actually be a 6-song EP due out hopefully by the end of the summer. I have a whole batch of songs to pick through this time, which is why I don't want to force out an entire nother album. I'd much rather release a small collection of the best of the batch.

I'll also be making little vlogs here and there about my process, which might prove to be pretty cool insight to what the hell actually goes on in my little dungeon of a studio. I'll keep everyone posted as best I can about what's going on here, but you can also "become a fan" on Facebook if you want updates sent to your Facebook inbox. There's also Twitter for all those quick thoughts. Can't forget that little bugger.

In other related news, I'm also booking up a short East Coast tour for the springtime, and will be heading out on the road with my long time best friend Nate Manware (formerly of Juan es the Thief), who is quite possibly one of the world's greatest drummers I have ever seen or heard. I'm also building a black skylit backdrop that will be flashing behind us, as well as programming some visuals for an on-stage projector. And yes, there will be fog. Lots of fog.

...and maybe a strobe for good measure, but only in those oh-so-intense moments.

Been keeping busy...

I've been keeping myself quite busy lately with putting together the live band, booking some March tour dates, and working on new material. I really want to see this material released by the end of fall at the latest, if not much, much sooner. I'll be playing some of it out with the live band very soon, so if you want a sneak peak at the new tunes, make sure you catch the shows we'll have lined up in the spring. Welcome to 2010

And so begins a new decade. I hope everyone had a killer New Year's Eve, and a not-too-hungover New Year's Day. Though they weren't horrible to me, I can't say I'm going to terribly miss the 2000's. There is far more to look forward to in the 2010's (aside from human extinction in 2012 that is?..). There's a whole lot happening right now with The City Skyscape, and I'm almost unable to contain myself. I'm really excited to see how people view the changes I've been making. I don't have much time to divulge right this moment as to what I've got brewing, but it's most definitely going to be fantastical (otherwise I wouldn't be busting so much tail to get it happening). I only hope I can manage to get everyone else as excited about it as I am about it!

The City Skyscape v2.0

So I've decided that in order for me to continue pushing forward with this project, some serious changes need to be made. I will be renovating everything. I'm restarting this blog fresh. A new dot com and some updated layouts for the "other" websites (MySpace, Twitter, etc) are in the works, and the mailing list will be in full force. I am also finally assembling a capable band of amazingly talented musicians to help perform my music, which will add a much different feel to my live performances. I'm incredibly excited about all of this, and I truly believe The City Skyscape v2.0 will prove much more successful in 2010. I'll be trying my best to keep this blog up-to-date on the latest happenings, but please forgive me if I fall into slumps here and there. Arrivederci!
